Swimming Pool Construction Project Manager

Job Description

  • 3-5 years’ experience building pools
  • Reliable and steady work history
  • Must be able to pass drug test and random drug testing
  • Must be able to complete and pass a background check

Qualifications

Prefer a candidate that is knowledgeable in all aspects of the construction of inground pools including but not limited to; drainage plans, and blueprints. General to in-depth understanding of the layout process, excavation, steel, underground rough plumbing, underground electrical, underground sewer and gas, pool gunite, fiberglass pools, pool cover systems, deck stone, retaining walls, and pool equipment.

  • Excellent overall communication skills
  • Must be able to work well as a team member with others and communicate well with both co-workers and customers
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to drive a work vehicle
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities
  • Construction experience when it comes to in-ground swimming pools
  • The ability to stay self-motivated and creative while juggling multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Ability and willingness to travel weekly
  • Project management: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that each phase is properly managed, and all details are properly recorded, checklists are fully completed, and change orders are issued quickly and accurately (our estimating team can help with all change order)
  • In this position, you will be managing multiple projects from start to finish on a variety of swimming pools and backyards
  • Must possess a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and the capacity to manage and lead team(s) of builders
  • You will be responsible for starting projects, inspecting work progress, and construction sites to ensure that specifications are met, and completing projects in a timely manner with a low threshold for errors or mistakes
  • You will be responsible for several projects at one time and need to be able to create and maintain effective contractor and subcontractor relationships
  • Can create and maintain an efficient construction schedule for everyone involved as well as one that best satisfies client needs
  • You can implement tight procedures and accountability mechanisms regarding operating processes such as job-site inspections at various job locations, communication follow-up with the client, and ensuring installation crews are following absolute safety standards
  • Able to monitor sites and hold crews accountable regarding job cleanliness
  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships
  • Complete and knowledgeable understanding of the construction process
  • Full-time, with possible overtime
